Assistant Housekeeping Manager
Responsibilities:
- Direct the activities of the Housekeeping department and furnishes daily cleaning service to guest rooms and all other areas of the hotel.
- Communicates all maintenance and repair needs to appropriate individuals.
- Distributes daily workload of room attendant.
- Ensures good safety practices of employees and guests throughout the hotel assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.
- Maintains new techniques and products to maximize the profitable operation of the Housekeeping Department.
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness, neatness, and good repair of all hotel areas.
- Performs detailed inspection of all guest rooms (vacant, check-outs, and occupied alike), instructs on necessary corrections.
- Provides guest room status reports to Front Desk, Housekeeper, and Hotel Manager.
- Advises Front Desk by telephone of all vacant and ready rooms as they become available.
- Assists in the training and motivation of the housekeeping employee.
